With Kreta Mare – Eftichis, you can take the helm and become the captain of your own adventure—even with no previous experience.

Before departure, our team provides a full hands-on boat handling briefing (20–30 minutes) so you feel confident, safe, and fully prepared. You’ll also receive a free GPS navigation app, showing your live position, recommended swimming stops, and restricted areas, making your journey simple, safe, and enjoyable.

This vessel is equipped with all essentials for a comfortable day at sea, including safety equipment, sun protection, storage space, and easy handling for smooth cruising along Crete’s coastline.

Perfect for couples, families, and groups of up to 5–6 people, this experience offers true freedom to explore Chania’s most stunning waters at your own pace.

🌊 Suggested Itinerary – Chania Coastal Route

Your journey begins at the Chania Old Port, outside the sailing club, before setting off along one of Crete’s most beautiful coastal routes:

1. Aspra Lagoon – A hidden gem perfect for swimming, cliff diving, and crystal-clear waters
2. Tersanas Beach – Calm, sandy shores ideal for relaxing and refreshing swims
3. Machairida Beach – A secluded paradise with green-blue waters and soft sand
4. Mavrovouni Bay – A peaceful anchorage perfect for snorkeling and sunbathing
5. Thodorou Island – A protected natural landmark, home to the famous Kri Kri goats
6. Lazareta Island – A small island ideal for diving and underwater exploration

Each stop offers its own unique scenery, from dramatic cliffs and hidden caves to calm turquoise bays perfect for swimming and relaxing.

⚓ No-License Boat Rental – Important Terms

Fuel: Charged separately at €2.50 per mile, payable at the port upon return.

Driving Limits

You are permitted to operate within:
Agios Onoufrios, Aspra Lagoon, Tersanas, Machairida, Mavrovouni area, Lazareta Island, and Thodorou Island.

Safety & Requirements

• Driver must be 18+ years old
• Must speak and understand English well for safety briefing
• Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited before or during rental
• One person must remain reachable by phone at all times
• Rental may be terminated for unsafe behavior or rule violations without refund

Training & Briefing

If the driver cannot safely operate the boat after instruction, the rental will not proceed. In such cases, a €50 training fee applies or an upgraded skipper boat may be offered (subject to availability).

Timing & Conditions

• Late arrivals will not extend rental time
• Boat must be returned on time and in original condition
• Weather-related cancellations are refundable or rescheduled when possible

Children: Ages must be provided in advance for suitability checks
Cancellation: No refunds for customer cancellations or no-shows
