With Kreta Mare – Polina, you can take control of your own boat and become the captain of your group—even if it’s your first time at sea.

Before departure, our team provides a full hands-on boat handling briefing (20–30 minutes) to ensure you feel confident, safe, and fully prepared. You’ll also receive a free GPS navigation app, showing your live position, recommended swimming stops, and restricted areas, making your trip simple, safe, and stress-free.

Polina is fully equipped for a comfortable day on the water, featuring safety equipment, sun protection, storage space, and smooth, easy handling—perfect for couples, families, and groups of up to 5–6 people.

Your journey begins at the Chania Old Port, outside the sailing club, before heading along one of Crete’s most scenic coastal routes:

⚓ No-License Boat Rental – Important Information

Fuel: Charged separately at €2.50 per mile, payable at the port upon return.

Driving Area Limits

Permitted zones include:
Agios Onoufrios, Aspra Lagoon, Tersanas, Machairida, Mavrovouni area, Lazareta Island, and Thodorou Island.

Safety Requirements

• Driver must be 18+ years old
• Must speak and understand English well for safety briefing
• No alcohol consumption before or during rental
• One person must remain reachable by phone at all times
• Unsafe behavior or rule violations may result in termination without refund

Training & Operation

If the driver cannot safely operate the boat after instruction, the rental will not proceed. In such cases, a €50 training fee applies or an upgraded skipper boat may be offered (subject to availability).

Timing Rules

• Arrive 10 minutes early for check-in and briefing
• Late arrivals will not extend rental time
• Boat must be returned on time and in original condition
